Wait... what?

Suddenly I typed wellgravenhaven.blogspot.com on the spur of the moment and just out of curiosity. Yeah, for me blogging is long gone what with my reports, school work and pure laziness, who has got the time to actually sit and ramble about their boring life anyways?

Anywho reading back the entries made me laugh a little. A good friend of mine told me a blog is like a personal journal, things you felt then and you wrote about it. I guess he's right, that's why many of my entries are nothing but ramblings. I blogged then because it WAS the in thing to do. Just like Friendster, then myspace and now Facebook. Now I have this tiny urge to continue writing, thus posting this entry... mais ça m'étonnerais si je continue..

Oh well, gotta get back to the real world. I have an exam tomorrow: Gestion d'Energie. Not much to study I heard, but hell I need to pass, wait not just that but get awesome marks or the worst scenario might very well come falling down on me.

Pray, study and be cool. That's how I plan to go through this.

Adieu, for now peut-être.

Mommy, see what I made!

Hari ini untuk makan malam, saya buat macaroni n cheese. tapi macaroni tade, so guna pasta bernama serpentini. Maka jadilah baked serpentini n cheese. :)

Senang bagaikan jari dalam hidung. I wonder if that saying is even correct in english – finger in the nose? My french pyhsics teacher used to say this whenever he’s comparing to anything easy which seemed like everything to him. hehe

25 random things

There’s this thing called Facebook (not like it needs any further introduction) where you can see what your friends are up to when you are bored or simply when you got nothing better to do.  So there’s this thing going around in Facebook where people would write 25 random things about them, anything: facts or secrets that others may or may not have known. The thing is, you must be tagged before you can write them. Well you can just write them anyway before getting tagged but that will make you look stupid and uncool.

So what the heck, I’ve got too much time to kill that I think it’d kill me first, here goes my 25 random things about me. I’m not gonna tag anyone but do tag yourself if you want. Oh, and for the record, i did get tag before writing this.  hehe

  1. I’m bored. haha. ça se voit, non? This is my second week (of five weeks) of holiday and I’m already praying for mercy! Never in my life have I ever thought free time can be this excruciating.
  2. I think I’m a good cook. Living in a proper place, haha by that I mean I’ve my own room, kitchen and all, I developed some cooking skills that I know I have. hehe.
  3. I’m sarcastic.
  4. I love watching TV series. It takes a lot of my time but those shiitakes are really good.
  5. I’m easily distracted.
  6. I’ve like more than 500 movies in my hard drive, but i rarely watch any of them.
  7. I like dozing off (who doesn’t?) but I hate it when I overslept.
  8. I love travelling, seeing new stuff and discovering new places.
  9. I like to eat good food.
  10. I’m a finicky eater. oh, and a slow one too.
  11. I’m now learning to play guitar on my own. but because of #5, I’m not good at it.
  12. I’m not a perfectionist but I like to see things in order.
  13. I do not iron my underwear.
  14. I love my iPod and i want to own a macbook. hehe, hello Apple!
  15. I can’t seem to get fat, not that I want too. I tried, but the only thing that grows is my belly. dipshiitake!
  16. I think Pushing Daisies is very cute.
  17. I like cats and dogs. Sometimes I feel like hugging cute dogs while their owners are walking them on the street.
  18. I suck at programming, though it’s just a matter of algorithm but that’s the one thing that sometimes just does not make sense to me.
  19. ‘Whatever’ use to be my motto. hehe
  20. I can’t wait to get home! I mean home home in Malaysia tanah tumpahnya darahku!

Here's a cool song by Michael Bublé depicting a lil bit of the present ..

Michael Bublé

"Home"

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
'Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

C'est La Fête!

As i said from my last post, I went to the Fête de La Musique in Nice. There wasn't any big difference compared to last year's. Oh, only thing, this year my friends performed somewhere in front of Negresco Hotel at the Promenade des Anglais.

Hoho! My fwens performing a song. I dunno if they have a name for their band.

They were not bad at all singing uncomprehensible lyric but catchy nonetheless..

Another rock almost-heavy metal band somewhere in Vieux Nice.

Actually, there were lots more. Last night they were lots n lots of ppl in the Vieux Nice. Bands were performing at all corners of the old, minuscule road of Old Nice. I didn't go see em all. We went also to the newly finished Place Massena, supposedly it should be happening n lively coz i believe bands would perform there. but nope, there was only a group of kids doing break dance.

I almost got squashed while trying to get passed a crazy crowd screaming and wallowing in a gile rock song performed if I'm not mistaken by a band imported from the UK in front of Wayne's Bar in Vieux Nice.

that was it..this by no means a detailed account of what really happened there. i'm just to lazy to write everything. haha.

When there's nothing else to do, there's always a hundred other things to do..

:P
Suddenly I remember that I have a blog! ahah. yeah, so since the exams are over and I'm counting my days to go back home, here I am at 3 o'clock in the morning, updating what need not necessarily be updated.
Anyway, today is 21st June, meaning it's La Fête de La Musique here in Nice and all over La France. This is where musicians, bands, singers, dancers, drummers, saxophonists, guitarists and all those people who play music and also those who enjoy them get together and have fun. but it will not be until tonight. The festival also signifies the end of spring and the start of summer! wee~
It'll be held mostly in the centre ville and a lot in Vieux Nice too. It's really cool coz everytime you walk, you'll see the crowd watching bands performing and hear loud musics. The ambience's really fascinating! hehe, i know la coz i went last year.
Oh, and what makes this year more interesting is that my friends here in Nice, will be performing tonight! haha, how coolness is that! yeah, another reason to look forward to!
Hopefully, i'll remember to update this blog again tonight after the event. now, i need my sleep. toodles~

The Worst Analogies Ever Written in a High School Essay

They lived in a typical suburban neighborhood with picket fences that resembled Nancy Kerrigan's teeth.

He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

She caught your eye like one of those pointy hook latches that used to dangle from screen doors and would fly up whenever you banged the door open again.

The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.

McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty Bag filled with vegetable soup.

From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and "Jeopardy" comes on at 7 p.m. instead of 7:30.

Her hair glistened in the rain like nose hair after a sneeze.

Her eyes were like two brown circles with big black dots in the center.

Bob was as perplexed as a hacker who means to access T:flw.quid55328.com\aaakk/ch@ung but gets T:\flw.quidaaakk/ch@ung by mistake.

He was as tall as a six-foot-three-inch tree.

The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease.

Her date was pleasant enough, but she knew that if her life was a movie this guy would be buried in the credits as something like "Second Tall Man."

Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph.

The politician was gone but unnoticed, like the period after the Dr. on a Dr Pepper can.
